Maria Chuquer

Dr. Maria Chuquer is an Anesthesiologist with over 13 years of clinical experience. She has been practicing at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary since 2019 and has been a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Anesthesiology since 2018. 

Dr. Chuquer has also built a clinical career outside the Operating Room. In the last 5 years, she has obtained advanced certifications in Headache Medicine, Medical Aesthetics, Cosmetic Dermatology and Obesity Medicine. 

In the academic field, Dr. Chuquer is an Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine as well as a Faculty Member of the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics (CAMA).

Dr. Chuquer is the Founder and Medical Director of Sculptd Medical, a medical practice specialized in Obesity Medicine, Menopause, Migraine and Joint & MSK Health, as well as Xthetics Face & Body Sculpt, a physican-led luxury medical spa in Calgary.

In her spare time, Dr. Chuquer is an avid tennis player and coach, drummer and mother of 3.
