Dr. Johnson works in the inpatient and emergency psychiatry departments at the Rockyview General Hospital, in addition her addictions work at Aventa, an addictions centre for women in Calgary. She is also involved in an upcoming psychedelic clinic in Revelstoke.
Dr. Johnson's education includes a BSc (first class honours) from Simon Fraser University, MSc (Neuroscience) from the University of Calgary, and her MD and Psychiatry residency from the University of Calgary.
She is passionate about lifestyle optimization for mental health. Dr. Johnson recently received a Royal College grant to implement yoga groups in the inpatient setting. She now teaches 1-3 times per week within the psychiatric inpatient population.
Her hobbies include competitive running, snowboarding, yoga (as a teacher and practitioner), meditation, and cross country skiing with her pups.
