Dr. Jadah Johnson is a psychiatrist specializing in addictions, emergency, and child and adolescent psychiatry. She previously worked in inpatient and emergency psychiatry at Rockyview General Hospital and now serves as the consulting child and adolescent psychiatrist for the East Kootenays and Revelstoke. She also provides outpatient and emergency psychiatric care at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke and works at Aventa, a women’s addiction treatment centre in Calgary. Dr. Johnson is actively involved in the development of a psychedelic clinic in Revelstoke.
She completed a BSc with First Class Honours at Simon Fraser University, followed by an MSc in Neuroscience, an MD, and a Psychiatry residency at the University of Calgary. Her clinical interests include integrating lifestyle approaches to support mental health. With support from a Royal College grant, she introduced yoga into the inpatient psychiatric setting and continues to lead therapeutic yoga groups for mental health.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Johnson enjoys competitive running, snowboarding, yoga (both as a teacher and practitioner), meditation, and cross-country skiing with her dogs.
