Dr. Hafeez Kurji is a dedicated sport medicine physician based in Calgary, Alberta. He practices at Vivo Cura Health, the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre, and the Alberta Obesity Centre. Dr. Kurji treats a wide range of patients, from children to adults, with acute, subacute, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. His expertise extends to sports injuries and complex musculoskeletal complaints. Dr. Kurji serves as the head team physician for the Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Team and is a team physician for the University of Calgary Dinos Football team, reflecting his commitment to supporting athletes at all levels.
Originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dr. Kurji completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of Saskatchewan. He then pursued a year of the Master of Physiotherapy program before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the same institution. Moving to Calgary, he completed a Family Medicine Residency and Enhanced Skills training in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Kurji is also certified with the CASEM Diploma in Sport Medicine, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Kurji is a proud husband and father to two young boys. He enjoys playing hockey, golfing, and exploring new destinations through travel in his spare time.
