He has been trying to achieve this through providing a large volume of clinical care, being an educator of future ophthalmologists, glaucoma specialists, and non-ophthalmology healthcare workers, and by finding ways to improve the systems and processes of ophthalmic healthcare delivery to serve more people and save more vision. He serves as an advisor to Ontario Health’s Health Technology Assessment program, which helps determine the value of new technologies for funding from Ontario’s Provincial Health Plan. He has been an invited speaker and presenter at many International and National conferences and continuing medical education symposia.
