Dean Traboulsi
MD, FRCPC, FACC
Dr. Traboulsi graduated from Damascus University Medical School in Syria, Summa Cum Laude. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, and Interventional Cardiology training at the University of Calgary. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine and the cofounder of the Calgary Heart Centre Cardiology practice group where he currently practices.
Dr. Traboulsi was the Director of Foothills Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Foothills Interventional Cardiology service for 15 years. He was the lead for the Southern Alberta STEMI Program which transformed the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction. He led the introduction of the TAVI Program in the Foothills Hospital. Dr. Traboulsi served in leadership roles on many local, provincial and national committees. He is the recipient of multiple teaching and clinical awards. Dr. Traboulsi has special expertise in ischemic and valvular heart disease in addition to congestive heart failure.
