Dr. Brendan Kerr completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2013 and General Internal Medicine fellowship at the University of Calgary in 2015. He completed an additional fellowship in Critical Care and Emergency Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), obtained certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in 2016 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Canada (FRCPC). He created Calgary’s first clinical consultative POCUS service.
He is currently the General Internal Medicine Site Chief at the Rockyview General Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. Dr. Kerr is actively involved in medical education with the University of Calgary Cumming School of Medicine and the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
As a General Internist, Dr. Kerr is a specialist in acute and chronic multisystem disease and has expertise managing a vast array of medical presentations. His clinical practice consists of inpatient acute care, perioperative and outpatient medicine.
