Alethea Reaches 1000 Primary Care and Specialist Providers

We are excited to announce that Alethea officially has 1000 Primary Care Providers and Specialists using the platform to improve PCP to Specialist communication, and treat patients faster.

Since we launched the original pilot of Alethea in 2019, the service has grown exponentially. At inception, we had 5 Family Physicians in Calgary using the tool to record patient images and consult with one ENT Specialist, and one Dermatologist. Today, there are 70 specialist consultants responding to eConsult advice requests for over 40 different specialties. All together, Alethea has serviced over 20,000 eConsult requests for patients here in Alberta.

Though we have come a long way, we understand that there is still a long way to go. With continued growth, we remain focused on providing physicians and other healthcare providers in Alberta with a modern, efficient, and user friendly system to advance communication and collaboration. There are exciting features and projects in the pipeline that we hope will benefit providers and patients alike.
